Madeline Toms

I have always been deeply interested in graphic novels and urban landscapes. Urban spaces that involve buildings that are either old or in a process of decay interests me as they hold a unique surreal like atmosphere; through my series of paintings I wanted to portray this by painting random buildings set in moody and isolated worlds. I wanted to revive the buildings through my works. Through my series of prints there are glimpses of buildings that I have used throughout my paintings. The prints are set out like a comic as I find the layout appealing, allowing me to view the story at one glance.
